AOS UK is a core member of the UK’s Autonomous Systems National Technical Committee (NTC) whose first meeting was held in London this Monday, 21 September.
The committee was established under the auspices of the Aerospace & Defence Knowledge Transfer Network (A&D KTN) and initial membership includes representatives from BAE Systems, EADS, Thales, Rolls-Royce, Ministry of Defence, Roke Manor Research, Systems Engineering for Autonomous Systems Defence Technology Centre (SEAS DTC), the Intelligent Transport Systems KTN and the Industrial Maths KTN, plus a number of universities.
While the A&D KTN’s objective is to create “A single overarching network across Business, Government, and Academia to foster collaborative research and development across the sector”, the Autonomous Systems committee will focus on delivering a range of operational and advisory value-add objectives and promoting autonomous systems’ R&D in the government, industry and the military.
AOS’s managing director, Dr Andrew Lucas, represented the company at this week’s inaugural meeting.
