AOS Group Managing Director, Dr. Andrew Lucas, will be the Keynote Speaker at the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) conference “Towards Commercial Exploitation of Unmanned Vehicles” on 10-11 November at the Society’s headquarters near Hyde Park Corner in London.
Andrew’s presentation, “Putting Automation, Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence in the Context of Commercial Unmanned Aircraft Operations”, is scheduled for 0915 on the first day following opening remarks by the Society’s Chairman, Dewar Donnithorne-Tait.
This conference is the second in a series of five focused on the civil and commercial exploitation of unmanned aircraft. While UAV operations are now commonplace for military applications (e.g. Iraq and Afghanistan), their use in commercial airspace is severely restricted by current regulations. But this situation is changing and these RAeS conferences are discussing the why’s, how’s and when’s of commercial operations for UAVs plus the new opportunities that will follow.
